【摘要】:ThisBritishStandardprovidesguidanceonthedesignofflexiblepavementssurfacedwithclayorconcreteblockpaversmanufacturedinaccordancewithBS6677-1andBS6717-1respectivelyandlaidinaccordancewithBS7533-3.Itappliestoallpavementssubjectedtotheusualroadspectrumofaxleloadsupto18000kgandtraffickedbybetween0.5millionstandardaxles(msa)and12msa,includingbothhighwaypavementsandindustrialpavementswherethetrafficissimilarincharactertohighwayvehicles.Itspecificallyexcludesheavydutypavementswithtrafficexceeding12msaandotherapplicationssuchasaircraftpavementsandthoseinportsandspecializedindustrialareas.NOTE1Fordesignguidancefortrafficlevelsofupto0.5msa,referenceshouldbemadetoBS7533-2.NOTE2Thisdesignmethodcanalsobeusedforpavementsconstructedwithstoneblockshavingthedimensions,tolerancesandcharacteristicsconsistentwiththerelevantrequirementsforclayand/orconcretepavers.
