【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesamethod,bymeasuringtheoxygendemandinaclosedrespirometer,forthedeterminationofthedegreeofaerobicbiodegradabilityofplasticmaterials,includingthosecontainingformulationadditives.Thetestmaterialisexposedinanaqueousmediumunderlaboratoryconditionstoaninoculumfromactivatedsludge,compostorsoil.Ifanunadaptedactivatedsludgeisusedastheinoculum,thetestsimulatesthebiodegradationprocesseswhichoccurinanaturalaqueousenvironment;ifamixedorpre-exposedinoculumisused,themethodcanbeusedtoinvestigatethepotentialbiodegradabilityofatestmaterial.TheconditionsusedinthisInternationalStandarddonotnecessarilycorrespondtotheoptimumconditionsallowingmaximumbiodegradationtooccur,butthestandardisdesignedtodeterminethepotentialbiodegradabilityofplasticmaterialsorgiveanindicationoftheirbiodegradabilityinnaturalenvironments.Themethodenablestheassessmentofthebiodegradabilitytobeimprovedbycalculatingacarbonbalance(optional,seeannexE).Themethodappliestothefollowingmaterials:—Naturaland/orsyntheticpolymers,copolymersormixturesthereof.—Plasticmaterialswhichcontainadditivessuchasplasticizers,colorantsorothercompounds.—Water-solublepolymers.—Materialswhich,underthetestconditions,donotinhibitthemicroorganismspresentintheinoculum.Inhibitoryeffectscanbedeterminedusinganinhibitioncontrolorbyanotherappropriatemethod(seee.g.ISO8192).Ifthetestmaterialisinhibitorytotheinoculum,alowertestconcentration,anotherinoculumorapre-exposedinoculumcanbeused.
